Happy Holidays Everyone.
While a tad late, a gift is a gift, regardless of when one receives them. So we’ve gone ahead and compiled a list of items (not necessarily finance related) that we already love and ones that we would hope to love while trusting that some of you share our tastes. The way we see it, if you like visiting and reading the content on Investing Thesis, odds are that you’ll like our taste in publications, books, websites, software, electronics and most other things. At the very least, we hope the list serves as source of inspiration for gift ideas for your friends and family.
Enjoy.

While not really a gift, the following mention is best suited for personal consumption and can also be a worthwhile recommendation to those tracking their portfolios online.

Books
The RESP Book: The Complete Guide to Registered Education Savings Plans for Canadians is authored by Mike Holman, a Canadian financial industry veteran and blogger at Money Smarts Blog. Stay tuned for our review of The RESP Book in the new year.
The 4-Hour Body is the follow-up to Tim Ferriss’s inaugural bestseller, The 4-Hour Workweek. While we have not read it yet (the order is in transit), if this book is anything like The 4 Hour Work Week in its transformative content, we’re sure its going to great fun to read.
The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman
Electronics
We don’t have one of these just yet but that doesn’t stop us from dreaming and oggling. The Apple Ipad is one of the coolest gadgets to have entered the market this year and is likely to be one of the hottest selling products over the holiday season. So it you’re looking for something cool and money isint really a hindrance, grab the 64GB Ipad model with the Wifi + 3G capabilities and experience the magic.
A USB flash drive is almost always a great gadget to carry on you. The greatest characteristic of the LaCie XtremKey 16 GB All-Terrain USB 2.0 Flash Drive is that it is heat, cold, water, pressure and drop resistant (when encased). This literally means that you can take the USB drive anywhere to want to. We’ve ordered one already.
Clothing
Who are we kidding - Canadians need a really good winter jacket. For most, the Patagonia Men’s Wanaka Down Jacket fits that bill. Waterproof, breathable and warm, it’s made of a combination of 2-layer polyester shell (50% recycled) for durability and ultra-insulative 600-fill premium goose down to stop bone-chilling cold. The multifunctional collar design, inspired by a vintage European army jacket, flips upright and snaps closed to seal out buffeting winds. It also has an insulated removable hood.
We can always do with a good pair of socks. The Injinji Tetrasok Nuwool Outdoor Series Crew Toesox Socks help prevent blisters with a seamless construction that protects each toe. Anatomical Molding SystemTM conforms to your feet for increased blood and air circulation. Individual anatomical toe sleeves form a thin anti-blister membrane between toes to eliminate skin-against-skin friction. We’ll be ordering these socks shortly.
Even though there are literally tens more items we could add to this list, we’ve learnt to keep restrict our choices. Trust us, you’ll be glad we did.
Merry Christmas to all.
